What is ACAB? AULA's Alumni and Community Advisory Board ( ACAB) is a newly- formed group of dedicated alumni volunteers from each of our programs, as well as key members of the community, who have joined together to create an active alumni association. We seek to serve our 6,000+ graduates and to provide programs that are both professionally beneficial and fun. What does ACAB do? Contributing both philanthropic and advisory support through President Neal King and the Development Office, we provide guidance to the leadership of AULA on issues of alumni and campus affairs. We will help grow scholarship funds as well as create relationship- building activities and programs that bring alumni, current students, and the greater AULA community together. One of our first projects was welcoming each of this past year's commencement participants to the AULA alumni family with a gift from ACAB. This gift was the beginning of our relationship- building with our fellow graduates. Next, we plan to sponsor a reading of newly published works by graduates of AULA's M. F. A. in Creative Writing program. Other projects are on the drawing board, and we look forward to planning events that interest you and give you a chance to reconnect.
